I'm raising £2000 for a funeral/memorial

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Our beautiful sister, and mum, Natasha, passed away on 24th October after years of unimaginable struggle and pain. Despite countless pleas for help, endless emails, meetings, and safeguarding referrals, the systems that were meant to protect her continued to fail her.

Despite all the warning signs, despite the countless times we begged for help, the system that was meant to protect her kept letting her down. We raised safeguarding alerts, wrote to hospitals, mental health services, social workers, chief executives, and MPs and got the Police involved — desperate for someone to step in before it was too late.

Natasha didn’t just fall through the cracks — she was pushed through them by a system that stopped listening. Her final weeks were filled with distress and neglect. When she died, it wasn’t just from illness — it was from exhaustion, heartbreak, and being left without the care and compassion every human being deserves.

Natasha had complex physical and mental health needs and deserved care, compassion, and dignity. Instead, she faced neglect, misunderstanding, and a lack of accountability from those entrusted with her wellbeing. Her death was preventable — and our hearts are broken knowing that more could, and should, have been done.

Natasha was so much more than her struggles. Funny, artistic, kind, and full of love, she had a unique spark and wanted nothing more than to feel safe, understood, and cared for. Everyone who truly knew her saw the beautiful, brave person behind the pain.

There is now a formal investigation underway into determine her cause of death after a shocking safeguarding was submitted and the systemic failures and neglect surrounding Natasha’s care. We are determined to ensure that her story leads to change — so no other family has to endure this heartbreak.

We are raising funds to give Natasha the peaceful, dignified farewell she was denied in life — surrounded by love, not suffering. Any remaining funds will go towards seeking justice in her name and helping to prevent such devastating failings from happening again.

💜 She deserved better — and we won’t stop until others do.

💜 Thank you for helping us honour Natasha — with love, dignity, and the justice she deserves
