16th May 2022
On behalf of all the family please accept our apologies for not updating this page sooner.
We will shortly be closing this Just Giving page and will be in contact with The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust to whom all donations will be going. The Trust were absolutely amazing. The family contacted the Trust just after 7 a.m. on Thursday 21st of April, not expecting to hear from them until normal office hours but within 10 minutes a response was received from Colin Bell with his mobile number and we spoke with him shortly afterwards. He took complete control, liaising with their team in Amsterdam and the funeral directors in Lisburn, to spare the family as much of the worry as possible and Andy was home in Northern Ireland 5 days later. Words fail us as to how amazing the Trust are, we will never be able to thank them enough for their help and support through one of our most difficult times, truly remarkable family and Trust.
We would like to thank each and every one of you who have donated, your kindness and generosity has been astonishing, thank you doesn't seem to be enough to show you all how grateful we are. The amount raised far surpassed what we hoped to achieve. Thank you all.
We thank all family, friends, neighbours and indeed strangers for your kind thoughts and acts. Your thoughts, condolences and kind words meant so much to us all. We have loved sharing memories and stories of Andy with you all. Thank you also to all who were able to join us at the funeral, both in person and online.
Thank you once again and best wishes to you all.
Sean, Marjorie, Eileen, Eamonn, Aidan, Gerard, Joanne, Mary and Martin

On Monday 11th April 2022, Andrew Furey went missing in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Sadly his body was found on Wednesday 20th April 2022.
