We are trying to give our 8 month old Visla X GSP puppy a life longer than 12/ 18 months. He has one of the worst cases of hip dysplacia seen in a puppy of his age. Unfortunately Basil is close to full dislocation of both his hips. He's such a lovely young dog who is permanently in pain. He lives on pain killers and isn't allowed to do the things normal puppies can. We have been told if we could raise the money to fund his operation he would have a 95% chance of making a full recovery. This means he would be able to live the full happy and healthy life he so deserves. We really want to give him the chance to fulfill a long and happy life. He has a super temperament and really is a an incredible dog. We have tried everything we can think of to help him. We have brought him a sheep dip to use a swimming pool as this is all he's allowed to do, he swims twice a day with his life jacket on. If you could just take a minute to help us save this beautiful happy chap and give him the future he deserves we would be so gratefu. So we have now spoken to another vet who has said there is another possible operation that Basil is eligible for! Its much less costly and finger crossed could result in the same outcome... a happy and healthy Basil. Basil wil be going to see the vet who will preform the operation at the end of September so please get involved in this beautiful boy and be apart of giving him a long future. We are so grateful. So basil is now booked in for the cheaper operation on the 15th of Spetember. We are going to use the money raised towards this operation and the after care. Basil can not wait for a hip replacement as hes in to much pain. So hopefully this will work for him. Thank you for all the help, I'll keep the page up dated with pictures after his operation.
