Story

On the 10th October around 5pm, whilst home with her two boys, my best friends house exploded. An electric hob had been accidently turned on by her son Frankie who has autism.
Sharna was voicenoting a friend at the time and I can tell you now, the screams from her and Freddie were shattering. I can't even begin to think what went through her mind at that moment as she shouted for them to get out of the house.
The house she has built up for her and her boys is destroyed. She's been told it's structurally unsafe for them to live there. During the explosion the bottom window blew out and the two top windows of Sharna's bedroom blew out too. Every wall in every room has cracks in them, the cielings are caving and the landing is uneven. Pictures and canvases fell off the walls, things were broken and the hob is shattered.
Thankfully and by some miracle - Sharna, Freddie and Frankie are physically unharmed. Freddie was sat on the sofa so there truly was someone looking down on them.
Going forward things are going to be really tough. Mentally, emotionally and financially as Sharna can't work at the moment.
If you know Sharna you know she is the kindest most thoughtul soul. She is always thinking of other people. Even after everything that had just happened to her she was thinking of others and it literally bought me to tears.
if you have anything you can spare for Sharna and her boys to help get their life back on track after it has been tipped upside down, I know she will be forever greatful.
Noone knows how long it will be untill she has a house they can call home again, wether thats rebuilding this hoise which could take months or relocating completely and having to start all over again.
Thankyou to everyone who has supposrted Sharna tonight, from the emergency first responders, the red cross and her family who stayed to make sure she was okay. We all know if anyone can come out the other side from this, it's Sharna.
