Im fundraising to try and give my sister and her partner a second try at IVF.
Five years ago, my sister gave birth to my gorgeous nephew Harvey and has since been diagnosed with secondary infertility. As expected this news had a huge effect on her as shes always been so maternal and dreamed of having more children. After years of tests and huge changes in lifestyle Kayleigh's situation didn't change, no medication was inducing a period so the chances of a natural pregnancy became impossible. Kayleighs egg count is very low, so even IVF had to be done as quickly as possible, not even time is on their side so they had to raise the money as quickly as they could. Originally I was going to use this platform but Kayleigh wasn't keen on the idea as she believes people are more 'needing of it' than her. After a huge amount of family support with loans taken out Kayleigh and Nathan we're lucky enough to have a round of IVF which devastatingly was unsuccessful. She has since returned to the clinic and amazingly she has enough eggs to try again! Their positivity throughout the process has been amazing, and since their devastating news they have done their best to remain in tact for Harvey although deep down they are breaking. I know there is nothing i can single handedly do to help this situation so this is why i am calling on the public to help raise funds for a second round of IVF for them.
