4FUNDRAISER

As some of you may know my dad suffered a heart attack and cardiac arrest 2 weeks ago! He needed a defibrillator and fast, luckily myself and my neighbour knew CPR and could start this straightaway, this ultimately kept my dad alive until the ambulance arrived. By the time we were able to reach a defibrillator and get back the ambulance had already arrived. For every minute it takes for the defibrillator to reach someone and deliver a shock, their chances of survival reduce by up to 10%. Only 3% of cardiac arrests happen with in the recommended retrieval distance of a defibrillator, this really brought to my attention that there’s just not enough available! It also happened to be that 2 other people needed a defibrillator but there was only 1 available... let that sink in!!! My aim is to raise as much money as possible, working with the Rosegrove Neighbourhood Watch team who are also fundraising to get as many in the area! My ultimate goal is to raise as much as I can to place in other areas as well!! These are much needed life saving equipment and you never know when you might need one! So... on Saturday 28th August myself and some of my amazing family and friends are going to be walking The Yorkshire 3 Peaks in aid of raising money... now they are not cheap they are approximately £500 for the box and £1500 for the defibrillator! So every little penny will count!! I hope you can all support and help in any way and if you would like to join us please send me a message so I can give you more details on the walk.

Thankyou in advance for helping to save a life!!
