I've raised £500 to help raise money for Smokey Paws

I am running Cardiff half marathon to raise money for Smokey Paws. Smokey paws are a charity who designate their time to ensure that every fire engine in the U.K is equipped with pet friendly oxygen masks. There are around 40,000 house fires each year and with 46% of households owning pets unfortunately there are many pets loosing their lives as a result of these fires.
Last year, my dog Bailey become part of those statistics. He died due to smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in our home. It is life changing and devastating. If the fire engine that attended our fire was equipped with these pet friendly oxygen masks then there is a 90-95% chance Bailey would still be here.
Hundreds of fire engines in the U.K are already equipped with these masks but there are still many that are without. This is something that Smokey Paws are trying to change through no cost to the fire service. All masks are provided to the fire service free of charge as these masks are purchased through donations raised. This is why I'm doing my bit by spreading awareness and trying to raise some money for this fantastic cause. If my donations can save the life of just one pet and the owner does not have to endure what I did then it's a job well done! Thank you for reading and please donate anything you can x x
