My name is Jodie, I'm 5"2 and 38yrs.
I could give you so many reasons as to why this surgery will change my life.
I've been requesting for a reduction since I was 16. I've lost weight, been to counselling, physiotherapy, measured regularly for strong supportive bras that cost me a fortune. My last fitting confirmed I'm still a 36J/36JJ. This is too much weight on my chest. I suffer with neck/shoulder/back/chest & boob pain daily. Dips in my shoulders, bruising & rashes around during my rib cage and under my boobs.
I hardly sleep due to pain and weight on my chest.
I try to exercise to keep the weight off but it is so painful.
I struggle with clothes & this impacts my confidence.
Over the years I have been denied referrals by GP's & in the last 3 years I've been fighting hard to get referred but denied each time by the CCG, each time this knocks my confidence more.
I'm 38, this is no life as a young woman and mother; I want to be pain free, confident & to be able to sleep & enjoy life with my daughter/partner/family and friends.
This surgery will change my life & will improve my physical & mental health.
I know times are difficult for everyone, but if anyone could donate I would be so grateful. Every little helps towards my dream of much smaller boobs and being pain free.
