Care for Kids is an aspiring voluntary charity that's supports a number of registered children's charities across the UK and overseas. Sibling support and operation Christmas Child are just two of the projects that are supported each year.

For the past three years Care for Kids have been fund raising to provide children in the Tuna Village in Africa with fresh clean water and a Children's Home. Many of the children become ill or pass away through infected water. Typhoid, impetigo, cholera and other diseases are common, additionally malaria effects both children and adults.

In 2016 we completed the installation of a water hole (Bore Hole) which is operated by electricity and by a hand pump, should there be a power cut. (Power cuts are a regular occurrence) Late in 2016 we commenced work to build a bespoke Children's home for orphaned children, the aspiration was to raise funds in stages to build the orphanage complete with showers, toilets (Both male and female) a store room, and an office. The home would be a legacy for our late parents who were inspirational with charitable work and named the 'Turner- Curran 'Children's home.

Many of the children in the village sleep on derelict land, in shopping trolleys or doorways. They are hungry, destitute and in a very dark place young lives, many are alone, frightened and subjected to assaults of various types. They rely on support from aid agencies and organisations who are under constant financial pressure. In December 2017 the final construction of the home was completed and the building (with the exception of the office which is 75% finished) is now ready to receive the beds, blankets and basic furnishings. We are raising funds to provide beds, wardrobes, tables and really basic furnishings so that the children can have warmth, a bed to sleep in and not be frightened by having to sleep outside and being exposed to the elements, such as monsoon rains and storms.
