Story
It is now common knowledge that the great coral reefs of the world are dying, due to global warming. Yet research is underway into preserving corals, and other marine life under threat. Other threats include overfishing on a massive international scale, and even here there is a chance to take action and preserve our marine world.
At Chalk Reef Aquatics, we want to help people set up and maintain marine aquariums of any size (the bigger the better!) and assist people to use their creative inner aquarist to develop their own marine preserves.
The long term theory is that once the global warming patterns have been understood, there will be a chance to reintroduce corals and marine species into the oceans, in areas where they will again thrive.
This takes some considerable input, especially in a world where presidents deny climate change. However this plan is workable, and practical, and indeed is already happening in some parts of the world.
We'd like to make it happen here, on the south coast of the UK :-)
