After my mum was discovered she had breast cancer earlier this year she was treated at Chorley hospital. The staff were beyond excellent and mum made a full recovery. The unit is in need of funds as are most hospitals in the UK. I understand the funding will go towards furnishing the department to help patients be comfortable during treatment.

So, instead of riding the 300 miles in September for Cancer research I will be dong an independant fund raising activity for the local hospitals cancer department. I will be riding 500km including 7000mtr ascent gained in 7 days in the southern Sicilian mountains. All travel and expenses will be funded by myself and all monies raised will be donated directly to the hospital.

Daily videos and data will be posted on Facebook and social media, all mileage can be viewed on both Garmin connect and Strava live and after the day in the saddle is complete.
