Story
Woodlands Hospice is a charitable trust set up to treat terminally ill patients in Liverpool. It is committed to delivering the best possible practice and development of specialist palliative care for people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses with complex needs. It honours people’s right to dignity and respect at whatever stage of their illness by its aim to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
The team here helped my family and I through a sad time in our lives, which we would have not been able to go through without their support. From the volunteers to nurses, each member of staff exceeds the organisation's values of providing the best care for patients. Those part of the Woodlands team work extremely hard and provide a very positive atmosphere at their centre. Each time my family visited , we were always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome during our stay. I would never be able to express how grateful we are to Woodlands, so raising money for this cause was inevitable.
Their next project is to build a summer house onsite to provide some leisure time for families with young children and relatives. All funds received from this page and from the recent charity event my family held will go towards this endeavour.
I will be doing a skydive this month to help raise money for the cause, so I'd like to thank you in advance for any donations made.
