Story

Thanks to the help and support of many amazing people, I have been able to complete my Masters Degree in Human Rights this year 2017-2018.

It was hard and a real challenge. Moving back to the UK, living out of a van, that van being written off through an accident mid winter, staying in friends spare rooms, part time work and loads of busking just to make it all work...It has been an incredible push, one I am so proud of but one that has tested my pretty optimistic resolve!

I am over the moon to say that out of the 6 submitted pieces, I achieved distinctions in four of them, resulting in my thesis scoring the highest mark of them all. I am just awaiting on the overall mark, but I think it may well be a distinction overall.

I am so proud of the effort I put in and the subject around my thesis will be being used to help create real change in the world of education in the UK. I argued that we must ensure all that we learn and examine our children on is inline with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of 2030, whereby the protection and conservation of our precious natural environment and the social welfare of the worlds poorest are at the pinnacle of all we work collectively to achieve. Our planet and our societies are being pushed to the brink and the education system as it is need radical change to revalue the profession of teaching and to change the draconian underlying economic value of education that ignores the central role of meeting the needs of planet and humanity.

Overall this year, through amazing support and help from friends, family and strangers, I have raised £2500 of the £8000 student fee's. Since completion of my thesis, I have been working hard to clear my initial debts incurred and I am building as many networks through corporate and educational institutions as I can in order to get my work out there and making an impact. By continuing to live in a van and busk with part time work, I can best clear my debts with no overheads, but this is getting tough with the colder weather coming in. Here are a few pics from my busks over the summer taken from others in Brighton, Cambridge and most recently in Edinburgh:

Busking has enabled me to really understand society from a different angle - one from the street. You learn so much about people that is just not accessible through any other medium. I spend a lot of time with homeless people as they are always close by and experiencing many of the same things as I. We share stories of hope, heartache and life in all its colours. It is sad, happy and all the emotions in between.

If anyone would be able to support financially at this point your donation would be so incredibly well received and I shall forever be in your debt.

My music online is always my gift in return and I have added more for free download on the link below to say thank you for your donation. Simply highlight and follow the link and two albums of songs are available.

It is hard to ask for help, but I've learnt that it is really a sign of strength. I am very proud and I would not ask if I didn't need it and so here we go again! Please share this with your friends if you feel it.

Thank you once again to all those who have helped me along the way in completing this life ambition and I will always be here to support you in the ways that I can.

All my love and thanks
