    Story

    Dear friends,

My husband is a farmer. We have lived on our farm in South Africa for more than a decade. We have not been wealthy rich, but that has never been a problem for us. We love the farm and we love our way of life.

In April 2013 whilst we were on holiday, our farm was ransacked and everything stolen. We came home early to save what was left.

The break-in was only the beginning though. A few months prior to the break-in, we were approached by a man who claimed that the farm belonged to his ancestors. When we asked for proof he could not provide any and he left very unhappy with us.

In the months following the break-in, we had 3 attempted farm attacks. Luckily our dogs slept with us in the house and they woke us in time to chase the intruders away. After the third attempt, I urged my husband to move to another farm. This farm we only rented, but no sooner had we moved in, than this farm was also under attack. In a space of 3 months, we had 2 break-ins at some of the other houses on the property. I got to a stage where I refused to let my children sleep in their own rooms. From about February 2017 up to the time we left SA in August 2017, both my 16 year old son and my 13 year old daughter slept in our room with us behind locked security gates.

The brutallity of farm attacks in SA has been getting worse and worse and now polititians are openly telling the masses of un-educated people to kill the farmers, rape their wifes and daughters and to let the farmers watch before killing the whole family.

We decided that we were not going to wait patiently for some attacker to enter our house and rape/kill our children and we moved to Mozambique.

Here we are safe, but we are struggling to get work and our savings has run out. I have secured a job for myself in China, but we do not have the funds to buy our tickets.

Today I am on my knees begging for someone to help us. We need £2000. I need to be in China on 20 May to start work. PLEASE HELP US?
