Sadly, my beautiful big sister Johanne passed away on Saturday the 29th of July 2017, from a rare form of kidney cancer.

Jo loved animals and nature and asked us before she died, if she could be buried in a woodland burial site, so she could complete the life cycle, and be at one with the earth.

As a family, we knew Johanne was unwell, but we were all really shocked at how quickly her health deteriorated and how fast we lost her.

Johanne never asked for anything her whole life. Ever! She used to collect rocks as a child, rather than ask for toys, and when she got married, she opted to have the reception at home in the garden, because she just wanted a simple, happy life.

So, for the girl that never asked us for anything, I’d just like to ensure that she gets the exact burial she wanted, because I loved her so much and didn’t tell her nearly often enough.

To do this, I’d just like to reach out to everyone who knew and loved her, or anyone who knows me and my family and just ask for a little bit of help towards funeral costs, to make sure it’s as perfect as she was.
