Hello, My name is Finlay Bointon, I'm 10 years old and I go to Oldfields Middle School in Uttoxeter.

Between August 15th and September 15th, I aim to swim 400 lengths, in 4 weeks in the hope of raising £400 for a lady called Katy, who has an aggressive form of breast cancer and desperately needs life saving treatment in Germany.

I don't know Katy personally, she is a friend of one of my mums friends, but what I do know is that she is a mummy to 10 week old Evan and 4 year old Aurelia and the thought of her not seeing her children grow up makes me very very sad. So sad that I felt compelled to do something, which is why I'm doing this swim.

I really love swimming and I'm a member of Dove Valley Swimming Club in Uttoxeter and I really hope that every length I swim helps Katy get that little bit closer to receiving her treatment in Germany.
