Aureole Music and Come and Sing and Play Messiah!

Playing and singing together to bring joy this Christmas! Streaming daily events into Care homes and bringing our singing community together to make singles to raise money for charities in Jersey.

Aureole Music is a newly registered Jersey charity raising money for local charities who work to help the isolated and the vulnerable. Our mission is to do this by bringing people together to make music, and this year we formed a virtual choir to make beautiful music singles with poignant videos, helping to keep Jersey’s choirs singing through the lockdown period. Please visit our website at www.aureolemusic.co.uk to see our work so far, through which we have been able to raise over £3000 which has been given to Caring Cooks, Age Concern and Holidays for Heroes in Jersey.

We are working on our Christmas projects now, and will be releasing a beautiful carol by John Rutter, as well as running a ‘Come and Sing And Play‘ Messiah on December 13th, and every penny of our sales will be donated to local charities.

Any money that we raise is dispersed amongst local charities who are working hard in the local community amongst those who are vulnerable or isolated, and these charities need our help now more than ever. We intend to continue this work long after this particular crisis is over, recognising that there are many who live constantly in a situation of loneliness and isolation. We will do this by setting up small local events and collaborating with other charities to raise money and awareness for this important cause.

Aureole means ‘Corona’. This word does not only refer to a hideous virus, but also to the glorious aura that surrounds the sun and many stars .
