I am a surfer who spent four days in a coma and have a dream of launching my own business. When I was 21 I fell into a coma after suffering a cardiac arrest (32 in one day ) while at a routine appointment with my doctor. I then spent five days on a life support machine. I was a keen surfer didn't know I had a genetic heart condition hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which killed both my father and grandfather when they were in their twenties. The condition is an increased thickness of the heart muscle and can cause sudden death. I have now had a cardioverter defibrillator and pacemaker surgically fitted to regulate my heartbeat. I was on emergency life support and in a coma for four days. "When I woke up I'd lost my memory and it took a few years until I'd fully regained it. After leaving hospital, was determined to get back to fitness and set his sights on surfing competitions and building a career. But Every potential employer wasn't happy about my heart problem and I was on incapacity benefit for a while. But I really wanted to work. It's my dedication to surfing that has kept me going." With this in mind he sought advice on setting up a business. I love cars and work in car sales but really want to run my own company and employ people that are or have a disability. I not looking for a hand out just a bit of Help to get me going I have looked in loans and grants but their is no longer any help from the government and all funding has just about gone. All i ask is you a can give just a Small amount to help even 1p would be would be wonderful Thank you for Taking the time to read this x
