Story

Firstly, thank you very much for taking an interest in my campaign.

After the death of his parents, Daniel Williams, their only child, was sent from Manchester in 2017, aged 23, to live with his aunt in Lagos Nigeria.

Little did Daniel, a  Christian, know what it would be like living in a mostly Muslim country as a gay young man. Living a lie every day and being unable to find work, led him into a deep depression and he came very close to committing suicide.

Now, one year on, Daniel, who knows he is in great danger of being exposed and severely beaten up and risking 14 years in prison for being gay has now had enough. With no family or friends in the UK to help him, he has gone online to find a compassionate Christian to help him leave Nigeria and return to safety in the UK.

I have been able to arrange permanent accommodation for Daniel, but I have been unsuccessful in obtaining the £575 he needs for his air ticket and transport to and within the UK. This is where I am appealing to the generous kind hearts of the British public to save a tormented British young man and to help him start a new life in his home country. Thank you for your support.
