Our grandfather John Nicola (Yiannis Nicola) suddenly passed away on the 2nd February 2022 at the age of 87.

He worked as a barber in his shop in Muswell Hill for over 30 years and continued this until his final days. New Century barber shop was his second home and he loved the Muswell Hill community. His work ethic was unlike anything we've ever seen and he never gave up work as he believed this was his calling. He loved people and his charismatic personality inspired & impacted so many.

He was also a dedicated husband, father and grandfather as well as a real family man and a very proud Cypriot. He was born in the occupied village of Nikita, Morphou (Cyprus) in 1934 before he moved to England in the 1950s.

We are raising money in his memory and all money raised will be divided between his chosen charities: The British Heart Foundation, something bought for his Church in Nikita, Cyprus in his memory and the Donkey Sanctuary (Cyprus).
