Story

This year I am doing two marathon swimming challenges to support the Agoonoree Scout Camp, which is a camp run entirely by volunteers to enable Scouts with special needs to enjoy a summer camp.

See the Agoonoree Website for more info. I have been involved with this camp since 1973 and having retired last year attended the camp this summer. I can evidence first hand the positive impact the camp has on the lives of all the young people involved, be they able bodied or with special needs - youth at its best!

All the money raised goes towards helping the camp provide the most exciting and enjoyable time possible for the campers. (Volunteers are expected to pay the full camp fees to attend.)

My first swim is 6.5K round Brownsea Island in Pool Harbour - the birthplace of the Scout movement and two weeks later I will be swimming 10K up the river in Barmouth, North Wales.

So please support me by donating and help next year's camp happen! Thank you so much.
