Weʼve raised £40 to help fund my trip to Malawi with Students for Malawi to help build classrooms during summer 2017.
- Funded on Thursday, 9th March 2017
Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
I have been selected to go as part of a team to Konzanso, Malawi during summer 2017. The project has been running for a few years. The 2017 project will help build 2 classrooms for the primary school in the Naliya village.
The money I hope to raise will be used for flights, accommodation etc. and also to help fund the costs of building the two classrooms. I aiming to raise £1,500 to cover all the costs and any other moneys raised will be donated to Students-for-Malawi, the organisation leading the projects.
Currently, the primary school in Naliya can only provide primary education up to form 6. In Malawi, primary education goes up to form 8. The addition of the two classrooms will allow the children to finish primary school.
Along with donations, I am hoping to organise fundraising events to help work towards the total.
All donations are very much appreciated and will go a long way in improving lives of those in communities less fortunate than ourselves.
Thank you.
