Due to the Covid 19 situation we at www.yarakbirdsofprey.co.uk are now following government guidelines and are Locked Down again. Since March 18th 2020 we were closed until August 26th and open just for 9 weeks until the end of October and then came the November Lock Down and we have been Locked Down ever since. We have lost approximately £85k. Listening to what the Government are saying we expect to be closed until at least April 2021 which is unthinkable and a massive concern for us. Our birds are our biggest priority and given the current situation we need to raise funds to help provide food for them and running costs over the coming months. 18 of our birds mostly Owls have been purchased by myself to get them away from environments that were totally unsuitable and detrimental to there well being. Some kept in Parrot Cages, a Dog Kennel, a Shed with no windows and living amongst machinery. The last thing I want is to not be able to provide for them and they end up having to be moved on and end up in the same situation they were before I purchased them. I have always returned all profits back into the centre and the birds and never thought this day would ever come where I had to ask for help again. We have 34 birds here that get the best food and care possible and we want to do the best by them in this difficult time. We had a fantastic response from people in supporting us at the start of covid and feel a bit embarressed to have to ask again. Any amount that you can spare will be very much appreciated and spent solely on the birds and running costs so they don't suffer. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
