Weʼre raising £600 to To help fund our Prudential Ride London After event HUB
- 4 days to go
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
With the wonderful support I have received from an incredible group of like-minded cyclists and with the kind suggestions to help set up an end of event hub, just for us, I have been planning what to do next.
Many people are unable to provide goods and suggested they offer some money instead. Seems like a good idea.
I have had an email from the organisers that have said that although they were unable to provide the group with a dedicated space at the end of the event, we are allowed to pitch an area in Green Park (right next to the finish) where all the charities etc., are located within the ‘alphabet’ section.
They were very thankful of our group and the work being carried out by all its followers. Thank you!
As a Facebook group, I am proposing ‘F’ and I will try to get a banner made this week to stick up. We can meet there afterwards, regardless what time you get in.
What the group needs support for:
1. Beer, wine, soft drinks and some disposable cups
2. A massure for the day to relieve those aches and pains.
3. Savoury Food - potentially with a barbecue
4. Large blanket
5. Volunteers from the morning to help set up and throughout the day until early evening (Could get a couple of temps for the day if possible).
6. Anything else anyone suggests
I think we would need to be there very early to set up.
To get things moving I will add £100 to start this off and make the banner. If you wish to help please pledge anything you wish.
THIS CAME TODAY FROM THE ORGANISERS OF THE EVENT:
Hi John . Absolutely but please be reminded this is a public area, so is first come, first served and will get very busy on the day. So feel free to make your necessary arrangements to meet and may we wish you all a fantastic event on Sunday.
