I've raised £800 to 28/07/18 we will be walking Scafell Pike in memory of all lives lost in open water trying to raise funds for emergency throw line stations.

In 2011 I lost my first born son Dylan to open water. Since then I have taught over 135,000 people about the dangers in and around open water self funded.
I am walking Scafell Pike on the 28th July 2018 trying to raise funds for emergency throw line stations.(Anyone who knows me knows I am worse than rubbish at walking so this is a huge challenge for me)
I will walk with other family and friends who have lost loved ones to open water, Fire and rescue service and anyone who would like to join us. I feel the heartache & devastation first hand there is no greater pain than losing a child.
Where my son died like in many cases there was no life saving equipment that could have potentially saved his life. We lose between 3 to 400 live every year in the UK to open water. £800 would fund just 1 station we have already secured funding and had around 15 of these stations installed all placed in memory of a life lost in open water.
With others to be installed around the country we hope by raising funds for them to be installed it will create a knock on affect and councils will support our efforts and help to fund even more of these lifesaving pieces of equipment. They have already proved themselves by saving lives.
The walk itself will be gruelling as I suffer with Crohn's disease I was diagnosed around 14 years ago and have never been in remission I suffer pain daily. With family , friends, grit and determination, I will make it up that mountain. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/213172 . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnsv-z3Yxe4
