I've raised £1400 to Fund expansion of Spectrum of Misconception

Thank you for visiting my just giving page, you have got this far and that’s a great start. Have a read about why I, a short distance cyclist am going to spend Sunday 26th September doing a 100 km bike ride. Something which I haven’t done for a very long time.
I am raising money for the Social Enterprise, Spectrum of Misconception. The enterprise was set up by my wife Emma and Cormac Duffy to give our son, Zach who has autism, is non-verbal and has complex behaviour needs, experience of work. Without the enterprise, Zach would not have had this opportunity. Since the launch in the summer of 2018, the enterprise has grown, and we now have a team of young people who have similar needs to Zach working. We want to be able to continue to grow, giving more people this great and vital opportunity.
The team pack up and post or deliver the products, this may not sound like a great deal but it is a massive achievement for them to pack so the products look their best and go to the Post Office or deliver. We are very proud of them all.
Take a look at our website to see the range of goods we offer at www.spectrumofmisconception.com
As the enterprise expands, we need to ensure each new team member has all they need, hand designed labels, packaging, and a selection of the products.
We need to pay our artists for their work which make our products unique and our products professionally produced.
We run on a tight budget with narrow profit margins so to keep expanding and giving other young people the chance to be involved we rely on donations and fundraising events.
I am going to ride my bike of course!
100kms around the Hertfordshire and Essex lanes.
A few club mates have agreed to join me on Sunday 26th September as part of the North Road Club run. We will make sure we factor in plenty of coffee and cake café stops. A Strava route will be downloaded onto Garmin (or other GPS).
If you are not a member of the North Road Cycling Club and would like to join us, you will be very welcome. Message me and I will let you know the details. We will ride as a group; we may split into smaller groups if need be. We won’t leave anyone behind. I am planning to make sure my lights are in working order!
The ride will be shared on Strava so you will know I am working hard for your money and I will share photos after the event.
Please dig deep, as I will be on the 26th September to help me meet my £500 target for this great cause.
