Story
My neice Emily completed this with me this weekend.
An amazing achievement, and hopefully a fitting tribute to Kevin.
Sadly at the end of April my Canadian cousin, Kevin Mills, passed away suddenly aged 44.
At the age of 28, he sustained a Spinal Cord Injury that resulted in quadriplegia. True to his spirit, Kevin refused to let that define him.
In an extraordinary act of perseverance and courage, he became the first quadriplegic to hand-cycle across Canada, inspiring countless people along the way. He was a true trailblazer—a force to be reckoned with—and a beacon of resilience and hope.
Prior to this he co-founded Walk It Off with his wife, Heather. A not for profit organisation to provide individuals living with neurological conditions an accessible gym environment to achieve their therapy goals with trained therapists and specialised equipment.
On 7th June, to coincide with the celebration of his life in Canada 🇨🇦, and in honour of his incredible achievements, I am going to cycle the UK 🇬🇧 Sea to Sea (C2C) route. At 137 miles over 2 days it doesnt compare to his efforts, but I hope to raise money to support his cause and help continue his legacy.
People can support us by donating, or joining me along the route. There will be plenty of coffee and cake stops! (Auntie Barb!)
Thank you
