As recently as 50 years ago, polio was a disease which affected tens of thousands of men, women and children across the UK but thanks to medical advancement, it has been consigned to the medical history books here. For more than 30 years Rotary International has raised and spent money to eradicate polio across the world and in 2019 it is only present in 3 countries. Through swimming for an hour in our local pool, Rotarians and friends the length and breadth of the UK have a chance to raise funds to help this wonderful cause and END POLIO NOW!
