John Lane ( Laney ) to most. My friend, your friend, a legend of Stretford in his own right and simply one of the nicest guys on the planet.

On Sunday 11th January, Laney suffered a catastrophic accident at home. The accident has left our dear friend with paralyses of the lower body, and he has been hospitalised since, where he is expected to remain for several months to come.

Whilst I know each and every one of you reading this will be hoping and praying, as I am, that Laney makes some form of, if not a full recovery, the road ahead is certainly going to be a long one for Laney, Annie, and his family.

A fund raising event has been arranged at The Melville, tickets £20.00 for March 28th, but for those who cannot attend, or those who would like to donate a little more than the ticket price, please pledge accordingly.

What has happened is quite unimaginable and life changing for Laney, his family and close friends. It's just heartbreaking.
