On the 2nd June 2023, John Greene, founder of Border Oak sadly passed away.

John was a very kind and generous man, who would always look to help others in whatever way he could. He was a Father and Grandpa who adored his three children and six grandchildren and because of this he had a particular fondness for causes that supported and helped children and young people.

To continue John's legacy of giving and helping, we are looking to set up a permanent charitable foundation that will concentrate on charities and groups in the Herefordshire area - a county that John lived in all his life and loved so very dearly.

Our hope is that we will organise fundraising events throughout the year involving Border Oak employees, who John called 'his family', and any monies raised will go to the foundation, which will then consider applications from community groups, individuals, schools and charities.

John was much loved and respected in Herefordshire and further afield, and we would like to continue his kind and generous nature for future generations.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their thoughts, support and memories of John - he will be truly missed by so many.
