In lieu of flowers, the family will be raising money for Beamish charity. If we raise enough money, this will contribute to a memorial bench in his honour. Dad was passionate about the North East and its deep history, so we thought this was a perfect way to remember him.

People may not be aware that Beamish is a charity, and they rely on income from ticket sales, catering and retail outlets, Friends and supporters. Apart from keeping the history of the North East alive, Beamish helps the community and people in need through extensive social and wellbeing programs, job creation, and educational initiatives.

We would love to see you to celebrate his life on Friday 28th November at South Shields crematorium at 1.15pm, followed by food and drinks at the Harton and Westoe miners club.
