With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of John Grice at the age of ninety. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, John was affectionately known as "Pappa" to his family.

John Grice will be remembered for his warmth, humour, and the love of animals he shared with all who knew him.

In Loving Memory of John Grice (Leonard John Grice) "Pappa" we are raising funds for Wynter’s Wish a bereavement charity which supports families affected by baby, child or pregnancy loss. The charity was founded by John's grandson Gary and his partner Sarah after the tragic death of their baby daughter Wynter in 2019. The charity are currently fundraising to provide a hospital cold cot that allows parents to spend time with their precious babies after they have died. This refrigerated cot offers the gift of precious time than would otherwise be possible and aids the grieving process. In addition the charity provides copies of it's self published bereavement story for children which aims to comfort bereaved families and open up gentle conversation, especially with a younger reader about the loss of a loved one.
