Story
John collapsed and passed away unexpectedly on Saturday 10th April 2021 whilst playing Hockey, the game he loved.
Kitch was a dear friend to many of us, he will be remembered in his youth playing grass and street hockey, as a roller disco marshal, mechanic at Hildenborough Volvo and most recently working with Paul cleaning windows. His wicked sense of humour will be missed by us all.
We are fundraising on behalf of Mandy and Connor in the hope of placing a memorial bench in Tonbridge Park, a place that he loved and would like everyone to have somewhere to go to reflect and remember John.
For the last two and a half years he has been an integral part of Tunbridge Wells Flyerz, a local hockey team for children with physical, learning difficulties or disabilities. In his unique way he quietly supported everyone and inspired these youngsters.
As Johns passing was incredibly sudden and unexpected we would also like to raise enough money to provide the local hockey clubs he gave so much of his time to with portable defibrillators. These vital pieces of equipment can and will save lives.
Mandy and Connor are completely heartbroken and have no words for what has happened but are so grateful for all their family, friends and support.
He will be sorely missed, and our thoughts and sympathies are with Mandy, Connor and his wider family at this sad time. He was loved by so many and his loss will be felt by all that knew him.
Thank you for any contributions made, all funds will go towards making a difference to others as Johns legacy.
Many thanks
Sally and Marnie
