John McCabe sadly passed away on 29th March 2025. John was a much loved Husband, Dad, Grandad, Brother in Law and friend to many.

John had a huge impact on many peoples life’s after being a Borough and Parish Councillor for 40 years. John loved his community along with the people of Somercotes.

In memory of John we would like to raise money for organisations close to John’s heart. One being Prostate Cancer Support and the other being The P.O.S.T Group (People of Somercotes Together). We are hoping peoples donations will keep John’s memory and legacy alive.

We would like to take this opportunity also to thank everyone for their love and support over this is difficult time.
