I've raised £5000 to My Charity Cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End in aid of The Springhill Hospice & The Christie’s and in memory of my Dad, Alan Johnson.

Many years ago my Dad cycled John O’Groats to Lands End and rasied money for charity and this has always inspired me to want to really push myself to conquer the famous cycle route that is the length of the UK. I have chosen to support Springhill Hospice in Rochdale & The Christies Charity as both of these go above and beyond to care for those who are truly in need of it and the level of care they provide is amazing! Since originally creating this group I have edited this story as literally within a week of posting my dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and has now on the 29th October passed away. He knew all about my task and supported me immensley. This task what was once a big challenge will now be even bigger as I will complete this in his honour as I will cycle the very roads he once did himself. My dad was so selfless and always wanted to ensure everyone around him were happy. He enjoyed being creative and enjoyed Creating music and also narrating poems which over time he became friends with so many creatives from all over the world. My Dad has left such an empty space in all the lives he was invovled in and will be deeply missed but we will all carry on in his honour and make him more proud than he already were.
This journey will be very difficult and will be the most challenging thing I have ever done. The cycle will take between 10 & 14 days to complete but before any of that, lots of training will be needed. Im no expert when it comes to cycling and honesty cant remember the last time I rode a bike! I know what it entails and what is needed and I will do what it takes!
If you can honestly donate as little as £1 towards this I would be massively grateful as I know whatever I can raise will be a huge help for both my charities!
