Story
🌏 Walking 700+ Miles Across Japan for Mental Health & Tabitha’sSmile 🌸
I’ve already walked over 400 miles from Wales to Scotland, crossing valleys, mountains, and countless towns along the way. I’ve also covered another 100 miles trekking from Tamworth to Preston — each step adding to the miles, memories, and determination. But now, it’s time for the big one — the challenge that will push me further than ever before. Every journey so far has been leading up to this moment, and I’m ready to take it on😎 I’m taking on an incredible challenge — walking over 700 miles across Japan, from Osaka all the way to Aomori, to raise money for two amazing causes;
Mind and Tabitha’s Smile.
This journey will take me through mountains, temples, and coastlines — a test of endurance, reflection, and purpose. I’ll be walking for mental health, for joy, and for everyone who needs a reminder that they’re not alone.
⸻
💙 Why Mind
Mind does vital work supporting people experiencing mental health challenges — offering advice, fighting stigma, and campaigning for better mental health care for all. Mental health touches every single one of us, and their work truly saves lives.
⸻
💛 Why Tabitha’s Smile
Tabitha’s Smile is a wonderful charity that is dedicated to bringing uplifting theatre and music experiences to young people aged 15 to 25 who are undergoing treatment for cancer or other life-limiting illnesses.
⸻
🚶♂️ The Journey
I’ll be walking from Osaka to Aomori, a route of over 700 miles (more than 1,100 km) — All on foot, carrying everything I need. It’s a physical and emotional challenge, but one that I hope will raise awareness and support for two causes that make a real difference.
Every mile I walk will be dedicated to those who struggle silently, and to the children who deserve a reason to smile.
