We've visited Broadwater Lodge Residential Home a few times now, taking children and their parents in to do a Jo Jingles class with the residents. We love going there as it is such a lovely, warm environment where the staff really care about their residents and it is so rewarding watching the interaction between the children and adults. The outside space at the home is very important to everyone there and they have quite a collection of animals that the residents enjoy watching and talking to. As with a lot of these homes, resources can be limited, so donations help them to buy items that further enhance the lives of the residents beyond the practicalities. We came up with the idea of holding a Summer Party, hosted by Broadwater Lodge in their garden area, so that we can invite more children (20). The tickets will be £10 per child and ALL of that money will go to the home. The party will be from 10.15-11:30am and will include a 45' Jo Jingles session for everyone, a snack and drink for the children and some time in the garden area, seeing the animals and having a chat to the residents. The date is 2nd August. As this is an outdoor event if weather is bad, it will be re-scheduled to 7th August. Your donation of £10 will be your booking for your place. This event is most suitable for under 5's. Places will be limited to 20 so please book early!
