I've raised £150 to Raise funds for Niamh Louise Suicide Prevention Organisation

On 2nd September 2018 I will be taking part in an abseil of the Europa Hotel in Belfast. I am doing this to raise much needed funds for the Niamh Louise Foundation, who are based in Dungannon.
Those of you who know me will know in the last number of years I have struggled with my mental health. Beginning with a series of medication in August 2016 .... I began to feel I could cope again, and life somewhat seemed bearable again. However in February 2017 I had a relapse.... and that was the darkest time of my life to date.
Despite having a strong support system around me in the shape of family, friends and collegues, I found myself drowning and I was unable to cope with life, I honestly did not want to see another day. I didn't eat, I didn't sleep and I cut myself off from the outside world.
This continued for weeks and finally, I felt my life come down around my feet and I could not take anymore. It was at that point that the Niamh Louise Foundation was introduced to my life.
I honestly from the bottom of my heat can say, if it weren't for this charity I don't know if I would still be here. Based in a calming home environment, the love and compassion is obvious from the second you walk through the door. I visited this charity for 12 months and in those 12 months the staff at the centre showed me nothing but respect.... they listened to me, supported me, and helped me work through so many things.... Issuses I struggled with for all of my life.
I will never be able to thank Grainne and the staff enough, however the main reason for this page is that I want to help support others. Regardless whether its a pound or a tenner, every little helps. And if you find yourself struggling to cope with life, I definately recommend you lift the phone to the charity, you won't ever regret it.
