I've raised £100 to help the family of a teenage Gambian lad who was killed by lightning while gathering wild fruits to buy food and medicine for his family.

Ebrima Jallow alias Mansa was killed on Saturday 20th June 2020 after he was struck by lightning whilst gathering wild fruits to buy food for his family buy medication for his ill mother.
Mansa died after he was hit in the face by a fierce lightning on Saturday whilst he was on top of the Kaaba tree.
According to villagers, the teenager who is described as respectful and industrious, became the breadwinner of his family after his dad died last year from a mysterious illness and his mum was injured in a road traffic accident.
On the day of his death, Mansa was reported to have taken his mum to the health centre in neighbouring Kafuta about five kilometres away, where she was receiving treatment for her injuries.
After returning home, he decided to go to the bush to collect some wild Kaaba fruits to sell and buy food for the family and also pay for his mum's hospital bill. He was sadly struck in the face and killed whilst he was collecting the fruits on top of a tree.
His remains were laid to rest late that evening at Sohm cemetery.
His mum and siblings are said to be inconsolable. We are trying to raise money to support his family. There is no welfare system in the Gambia and with the demise of their breadwinner, the family is great difficulty.
