since the age of 13, Amelia has had a growth problem and needs to have surgery, from this age we have been told that we needed to wait until she was a grown adult as the body changes as she grows, we accepted that and carried on with life.

when old enough (17) we were told that the NHS would may be able to help with the operation, but after many letters back and forth to different hospitals we were told on all occasions that the NHS wouldn't fund the operation, despite the surgeons saying that her case was so bad.A couple of surgeons said that they had never seen anything this bad.

this left us with the only option to seek out private medical. we were very fortunate that after four years we found a surgeon that would perform the operation but at a cost of £11,000.

in todays economic climate money is tight and life is a struggle for everyone, I know this and appreciate that I may not be able to reach my goal on my own, and this is why I am asking for help, I very rearly ask for help as i have always helped others and done things on my own.

Amelia has never been able to go swimming in a public pool, she can not stand in front of a mirror and look at herself as she doesn't feel normal, she cant go out and buy the clothes that she desires and as parents we want for her to finally get what she has wanted.

Anisomastia is not a common issue but for the woman that have this, i feel for you and understand what you are going through as I am going through but from a fathers eyes.
