Hi everyone, recently; one of our Paramedics, Darren Broughton who had been based at Pateley for a few years and had moved here from Hull with his wife Karen, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and died shortly after at the end of last year.

Darren was a big character at the station and we feel it is fitting we commemorate his work in the community and his life at Pateley.

So, we would like to start a collection in his memory, to buy a bench and plaque to put outside the station.

We were hoping to raise about £300 for the bench but if we get more we would donate it to "stand up to cancer" in his honour.

Please give what you can, either to me personally or post it at the station in an envelope marked "for Darren" and your name...
