    Story

Freya has lymphoblastic lymphoma (Cancer of the lymph glands) - very similar to luekemia.
During the last couple of weeks of her 2nd year of school, Freya was suffering from a cough which was keeping her up at night, so her Mummy booked an appointment with the doctors, expecting to be given a prescription of antibiotics to help her sleep, however, the doctors found problems with her breathing so referred them to the Hospital on that same day to get checked out - Apparently, nothing to be alarmed about...
At the hospital they checked Freya over and did an X-ray.

The medical staff had advised them that they should be going home that evening, so Freya and her Mummy whiled away the time playing whilst they waited to be sent home. However, at about 9pm the doctors took Freya's parents into a room with the consultants where they were first told that they suspected that Freya had Cancer and would need to kept in overnight to do more tests in the morning. A bed had already been prepared in the oncology unit. Their worst fears were realised, the tests confirmed that Freya had Cancer. If all put together it would be the size of a watermelon and had probably only been there for 2 weeks. (it had grown really fast!)

It was very lucky that her parents had acted so soon, if left unidentified she would have collapsed unable to breathe as the cancer was squeezing her breathing tubes.
Freya is a very brave little girl having to go through to such an horrendous illness and treatment that no child should have to experience. I can only imagine how harrowing this must be for her and her parents. No-one should have to go through this.

I have been inspired by the extraordinary bravery and courage of Freya and her family, and their strength to which they are fighting this very frightening disease, to the point that I have decided to try and make some difference by raising funds to support them and their fight to beat her illness.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT! WE HAVE RAISED A WHOPPING £940!!! This will help a very poorly girl and her family in their fight against lymphoblastic cymphoma cancer. Currently Freya is suffering with all the symptoms of post chemotherapy, hopefully she will be feeling well enough to enjoy the Christmas holidays. This is just £60 short of the target, but is still a massive achievement. And if you still haven’t donated, but wish to the site will be open until Friday.
