We are raising money via a charity walk and martial arts seminar in aide of Ambleside Mountain Rescue.

Set in the stunning Grasmere area of Lake District  National park in Northern England. The weekend consists of a sponsored walk from Grasmere and charity martial arts seminar at Grasmere Village Hall in aide of the Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team.

For this years event, ex England Football International Viv Anderson, will be joining us on the walk.

Saturday 8th September 2018

For day one of the Fundraiser and for those up to the challenge our plan is to walk  HELM CRAG (1299 ft.), GIBSON KNOTT (1379 ft.), CALF CRAG (1762 ft.) This is and Out and Back circular route from Grasmere, returning via Far Easedale Valley Its an 8.25 miles circular walk from Grasmere.  
Note the last 4 miles is a gradual downhill valley route direct back to Grasmere, so all the climbing and high-level stuff is in the first half of the day, before tiredness sets in. Mark Privett of the TWC and GMRT will be leading the walk with support from other members of the Trail Walking Club

The DSI Martial Arts seminar to be held at the Grasmere Village Hall which is on Broadgate, Grasmere, Ambleside LA22 9TA , the seminar will run from 9:30am for a 10:00am start and will finish around 4:00pm.

Jon Ryley; 7th DSI Certified  Instructor and Country Director Teaching Combat Applictions.

Brian Whatford ; DSI Certified Instructor.

Peter Holmes; DSI Certified Instructor  teaching power generation.

Tony Baker; DSI Certified Instructor teaching wrist and grab release applications

Rob Turner; DSI Certified Instructor teaching Quadrant Theory

The Martial Arts seminar will Cost £35 per person at the end of the seminar we will have a presentation to Ambleside MRT of funds raised with pictures etc.
