Story

We will be heading to the Brecon Beacons to complete the SAS selection route, more comminly known as The Fan Dance

The Fan Dance is a gruelling 24km SAS Selection test march staged over Pen y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. The infamous march is the world’s oldest Special Forces test and is used as the first major indicator of whether a candidate has the physical and mental aptitude to complete the legendary Selection course.

The Firefighters charity exist to support the mental, physical and social needs of all serving and retired members of the UK's fire family.

The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. They provide independent, personalised support to thousands of people each year, and they’re not all firefighters. We exist to support all fire and rescue service personnel, whatever their role in the service. We are also here for all those who have retired, as well as for spouses and dependants.

As well as the Firefighters Charity we would like to raise money for the local Boxing Academy in Hardwick, having to pay rent for the premises during lockdown with no income the club has suffered financially and is need of new equipment

The money raised will be split 50/50 between The Firefighters Charity and Hardwick Boxing Academy
