Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
After coming back from Kawempe (Uganda), i realised how easy we have it here in the UK. Food and water is hard to get hold of, whether its the source or lack of money. i was personally shocked at seeing the way they lived and how hard they had to work for pennies. i ate what they ate, it was nice but not what i would call a full meal. Watching kids stare at you while you ate, just waiting for a single crumb of bread or a single grain of wheat. I witnessed they way the boys lived/slept. A single room, not even the size of an average bedroom, with up to 16 lads squeezed in there. The smiles on the kids was false, until they got on their football kit and got on the pitch. Never complaining, wanting to learn. Their ambition, their passion and their love for the sport is why I now have the drive to help them the best i can to try and make their dreams come true.
They are or WE are... Everton Uganda Foundation Club
Now this is where I need your help..
1- The bungalow I looked at would house around 20 orphan boys who play for the team. They will also have some land which they can grow some food and house some chickens. This is my main aim.
2- The football pitch (see pics) is terrible. If we could get that levelled they would have a better match as well as training session. The goals are wonky and have no nets, so replacing these would help make the pitch look so much nicer.
3- The school i would like to help has some rooms which are damaged, they need repairing before the kids can go back in them. They have a nice area which i could build a nice climbing frame on. i'd also like to do some art work on the walls. you can see the damage in one of the pics.
Now this school has NO funding from the government. The headmaster set it up himself and has 2 or 3 people helping him. This is the reason I would like to help. He takes in the orphan kids that want to learn. So much respect for this guy.
This is my story, my reason for this page.
