Story

My name is Jonathan, I am a 39 year old male, a dedicated husband and father to two lovely boys aged 10 and 6. In mid-2016 an MRI scan showed a multilobulated mass, extending from the skull base to the angle of the mandible. The mass was clinically diagnosed as Pleomorphic Adenoma, a common benign salivary gland tumor. In February 2017, I underwent a risky 12 hour major surgical procedure to remove this recurrent tumor, that had been previously removed in 1998 and 2007. Post excision of the tumor, it was re-diagnosed as carcinoma Ex-Pleomorphic Adenoma, as parts of the tumor had become malignant.

I was treated with postoperative radical radiation therapy using modulated therapy. Due to high risk of recurrence I also received a concurrent weekly low dose of chemotherapy delivered over 7 weeks.

A follow up MRI done late 2017 unfortunately showed persistent disease and a recurrent mass. Further surgery was advised against considering the multiple surgeries already done and repeat radiation therapy was not recommended considering the aggressive treatment plan that had been delivered and had taken a toll on me and my family.

Despite this set back my family and I have remained positive that we would find available alternative treatments. We have approached and had appointments with different clinics and hospitals across the world that offer alternative Cancer treatments. We have found a Specialist Cancer Clinic in Germany that has had great results in Cancer treatments.

Having experienced the loss of my own father when I was only 11 years old in a tragic car accident, I keep positive and motivated to do everything possible to Fight the Cancer. I am unable to bear the possible thought of my two son's growing up without their superhero Dad who has beaten all the odds so far.

Your help to raise money for my Cancer Treatment in Germany will be greatly appreciated.

Truly thankful
