Story
Earlier this year, I was approached by the Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication in CofE, to consider studying the Doctor of Ministry program in order to grow in church leadership qualities and in ministry. Rather than being heavily academic, the doctorate is going to be much focused on exploring the effective ways of serving the church and the local community through innovation in mission and ministry. In the next three years, very much of my learning focus will be exploring the new ways of bringing mission into the context that I am currently serving in a creative way.
Furthermore, the course is already helping me to grow in spirituality and sustenance in ministry and leadership which is vital for long term parish ministry. Being well on the way in my first year, I can see the positive effect of the course in helping me go deeper in theology and grow in leadership and character, and at the same time feel supported by a cohort of mission-minded and encouraging colleagues.
To continue the course, I have to raise about twelve thousand pounds towards 50% of the tuition fee, as the rest 50% has been already granted as a generous bursary for the next three years.
Being immensely grateful to those who have been praying for me and my ministry, I would like to ask for your generous contribution to this new journey of learning as I rely on God and his grace for a fruitful and effective outcome.
