In South Africa there is very little social support for families of children suffering from serious illnesses like cancer, or for those living with HIV or as AIDS orphans. Just Footprints Foundation seeks to provide these children (and their parents and siblings where appropriate) with a creative outdoors camping experience. These camps are fully medically and psycho-socially supervised by trained staff and volunteers. They aim to encourage these vulnerable children to regain their childhood joy and confidence. It is often a life-changing experience!
