Many children in African deprived and rural communities are dropping out of school. This is mainly due to the inability of their poor parents to afford their continuing education. Orphans and Widows are the most badly affected.

For example, as a Missionary to Nigeria, I have seen first hand the plight of many indigent young people and their helpless families. Many of these children dream of travelling overseas to escape a bleak future of living in abject poverty. Others dropping out of school simply join violent gangs or cults and take to crooked means of obtaining a livelihood. Yet, access to quality education can equip these young ones with relevant skills that invariably provide them with employment opportunities.

Our charitable organisation (GOLEM) wants to help the most needy families, especially Widows to keep their children in schools. Education is the best legacy that can be given to these children as it offers them a lifeline out of the vicious circle of poverty and perpetual dependence on others for their livelihood. Giving these children education can also keep them away from social vices and provide opportunities for them to contribute meaningfully to their own community development.

A small number of children and their families in Nigeria, Zambia and Tanzania are already receiving support from GOLEM, made possible by the generosity of our dedicated Partners. I want to support the Charity we run to help sponsor the education of more needy African children. Your generosity will enable us to reach out to more children and families.

100% of all donations raised excluding small administrative expenses will be applied to paying children school fees, procuring needed educational materials for the children and supporting vulnerable families going through crisis.

Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of these excluded needy children and their families. All donations regardless of size will be thankfully received.
