Story
Back in October 2021 the worst possible news was given, my partner Michelle a local PCSO was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. Michelle had a 9.6cm mass on her chest. This impacted on her lung function causing severe breathing problems, a cough that just wouldn't disappear. Day to day activities became harder to the stage just walking a few steps became impossible. She had her first appointment with a professor at pilgrim hospital and within just a few minutes admitted on to the cancer ward in the pilgrim hospital. That was the Monday morning. Emergency chemotherapy was given to Michelle on the Wednesday as her conditions was getting worse by the day. The ward is the old private ward. Its was stripped of everything. No TVs, radios or anything in the rooms. Michelle treatment is the most aggressive chemotherapy treatment you can have. Shes on a continuous drip for over 100hrs. She is confined to her room. Even with how poorly she was she wanted to try and give the patients some home comforts. So I asked let's help make patients being treated for cancer comfortable and supported through the journey
